Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the set of theories and technologies used to develop machines or software capable of simulating cognitive functions associated with human intelligence, such as learning or reasoning.
Improvements in AI are made possible by continuous upgrades to computing capacity, combined with the development of appropriate algorithms and the availability of big data.
By extension, the term “artificial intelligence” and its abbreviation “AI” are also used to define software that can artificially reproduce the cognitive faculties of human intelligence.
Note: Artificial intelligence touches several fields, including computer science, cognitive science, and mathematics. It is also used in a variety of applications, including video games and expert systems, as well as robotics, problem-solving, and pattern and gesture recognition.
