Adaptive hypermedia

Unlike a classical linear hypermedia, where all the users are being offered the same links, a hypermedia is called “adaptive” when each user is being suggested links according to certain characteristics such as his preferences or his knowledge.

Note: When an adaptive hypermedia is used in the field of education and learning, the term “adaptive educational hypermedia” is also used.

Dynamic adaptive hypermedia

A dynamic adaptive hypermedia is an adaptive hypermedia of which the construction of the hypermedia links is made progressively with the execution.
